the last 4 days had been the greatest test of my leadership and capability as an SA....timetable for rp open house 2006.....
waking up at 4.45am every morning for 4 days....meet dino and take bus 961 to woodlands...get to school....1st 4 people to be at SA command centre would be dino, me, weixiong and pj...and last to leave rp would be me, dino and weixiong at 8pm...then we will all have to do the following:
prepare walkie talkies....mark attendance....giving out lanyards....allocating manpower.... briefing for open house tour guides...updating routes, schools coming in.....all these were still ok....
but hell was here when allocating tour guides to secondary schools....from 2pm to 4pm....especially when 15 buses arriving at the same time and i do not have enough people to cater to these students....wooooo... handling student crowd, teachers, getting them in order and pacify them....assigning tour guides the appropriate routes, staircase and level when i couldn't get info from the level coordinators....confirming information (departure time, school name, number of buses)....OMG.....and it starts again when i need to send the schools back to their buses...

and of course....i couldn't do all these alone....thanks to my capable personal assistants....rendall and nisha for the 1st day....and shiekh for the 2nd day....thank you for helping me throughout the last few days....
dino and weixiong....thank you....we've been through HELL and frustration throughout the last few days....but we pulled through....thanks for the support, comfort and encouragement...
advisor david....thanks for standing in to be a tour guide, helping me to attend to teachers, do crowd control....and the affirmative words for me..... :D
my tour guides....i'm sorry if i was hard on anyone....but the "shoutings" were not personal....it was because of work...i hope we will forget the stressed-out words.... :D
my sa emcees....job well done...i'm proud of you all...would send you all off to emcee more events....
through this event...dino, weixiong and myself had identified the quality and able people we need in SA....only when put to test, would we see the reality... some did disappointed us, some did surprised us...
